A true Renaissance man, Vic La Var Peterson has built careers across the sea, the stage, and the skies. Where most professionals specialize in one domain, he has led and created in all three. He holds a Master Captain credential, has produced live entertainment for some of the largest companies in the world, and developed a jet center from the ground up.
For many years, Vic was a percussion soloist and a force in live entertainment. He founded a music production company and ran a San Francisco affiliate production company called Frank Boehm Presents. As a director and producer, he brought a showman's precision to every stage he touched.
Vic's knowledge of building and development is formidable. He served as Director of Planning and Development for Pan Western LTD at John Wayne Airport (SNA), where he leveled the site and constructed what became the Newport Jet Center, later operated as Atlantic and now ACI. His aviation experience spans rotary, fixed wing, jet, and private aircraft.
On the water, Vic holds a 200-Ton Master Captain credential from the United States Coast Guard. His maritime career includes an unforgettable chapter in the Panama Canal, where he was removed from a ship under circumstances that have become a story in their own right.
Then the coma hit, and his story turned in a direction he never expected. The journey through and beyond that experience is the story Vic will bring to the Positive Matters stage.
