Hemorrhagic stroke survivor sharing an honest perspective on recovery, identity, and resilience.

Chris Guerrero experienced a hemorrhagic stroke at the age of 36. As a result of his stroke, he lives with aphasia and the life-changing realities that come with long-term recovery.

Chris is the father of three beautiful children, and his recovery journey has been difficult, complex, and deeply personal. Physically, he understood early on that the road ahead would not be easy, especially with a sports-minded mentality that pushed him to keep going. What he did not expect was that recovery would become a lifelong journey.

For Chris, the emotional and mental side of recovery has been especially difficult. He has shared how hard it can be to process everything while also holding feelings back. His story brings an honest and human perspective to what it means to keep living, adapting, and moving forward after a major medical event.
